Check-in online up to 24 hours before your flight, until 90 minutes before departure.

  • Must arrive at the airport early enough to complete check in, immigration and security procedures in time to be present at the boarding gate.
  • The flights cannot be held for customers reporting late to the check in counters and hence, no responsibility shall be taken by the airline in such cases.
  • We do try to minimize the time you spend on checking-in, however, check-in deadlines vary according to the airport facilities and your journey will be smoother if you allow plenty of time.
  • Himalaya Airlines will close check-in counters 60 minutes prior to departure for all international flight.

 

CABIN BAGGAGE

For security and safety reasons only one piece of hand baggage, which must not be larger than 20"X15"X10“, will normally be allowed in the cabin not exceeding 7kg.

The following additional items are also allowed:

  • One small size handbag/purse
  • One coat or one cape or one blanket
  • One umbrella or one walking stick
  • One pair of crutches
  • One small camera/binoculars
  • An infant's carrying basket or invalid's fully collapsible wheelchair, which are carried free of charge, will normally be carried in the cargo compartment.
  • A reasonable amount of reading matter for the flight.
  • Duty free items like 1Lt of alcohol, 1 carton of cigarette, perfumes, etc.

Sharp objects like knife, khukuri, scissors, blades, and liquid items, aerosols, cosmetics.

 

CHECK IN BAGGAGE

The maximum limit of baggage weight in all flights is limited to 32 kgs per piece. However excess weight other than shown on Free Baggage's Allowance will be chargeable at the existing excess baggage rate.

 

1. Check-in formalities will be closed 60 minutes before departure and boarding gates will close 20 minutes before scheduled time of departure or estimated time of departure.

2. No single piece of checked baggage should exceed the weight of 32kg. Passengers should be requested to pack the excess weight into a separate bag.

3. Passengers who are not in possession of the correct documentation, who are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or whose behavior may cause offence to our passenger, members of the public or our staff, will be refused travel. (Record the event with witnesses or in coordination with airport security).

It is our guest's responsibility to ensure they meet the travel criteria and have all appropriate approval and documents.

 

  • For safety reasons, dangerous articles such as those listed below, must not be carried in passengers’ baggage.
  • Compressed gases — (Deeply refrigerated, flammable, non-flammable and poisonous) such as butane, oxygen, liquid nitrogen, aqualung cylinders. 
  • Corrosives such as acids, alkalis, mercury and wet cell batteries.
  • Explosives, munitions, fireworks and flares.
  • Flammable liquids and solids such as lighter fuel, matches, paints, thinners, fire-lighters
  • Radioactive materials. 
  • Brief-cases and attaché cases with installed alarm devices.
  • Oxidizing materials such as bleaching powder, peroxides.
  • Poisons and infectious substances such as insecticides, weed-killers and live virus materials.
  • Other dangerous articles such as magnetized material, offensive or irritating materials.
  • Medicines and toiletries in limited quantities which are necessary or appropriate for the passenger during the journey, such as hairsprays, perfumes and medicines containing alcohol may be carried. Many for these listed articles can be carried as air cargo provided they are packed in accordance with cargo regulations.

Guide to Dangerous Goods

Dangerous goods are articles and substances, which pose significant risk, health, safety and property. Therefore, their carriage is strictly controlled by International Dangerous Goods Regulations, which specify the conditions under which dangerous goods can be transported without risking the safety of people and property.

Dangerous goods must not be carried in or as guests or crew, checked or carry-on baggage, except as otherwise provided below. Dangerous Goods permitted in carry-on baggage are also “on one’s person”, except where otherwise specified.
