The aircraft, with the registration number 9N-ALW, was welcomed by a ceremonial water cannon salute after it touched down the ground.

Four pilots from Himalaya Airlines underwent EAFA standard training at SriLankan Airlines Training center. The trainings they received were Entry Level Training and Type Rating Training (Airbus Pilot Transition). It was a simulator based training known as Level D Full Flight Simulation where pilots experienced and go ] t the feel as good as real time flying. Apart from that they also received trainings on Airbus fly by wire family, normal operating procedure and abnormal and emergency procedures.
